On November 4, 2017, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce announced that the name change of the Nanchang Railway Bureau under the China Railway General Administration has been approved. The Nanchang Railway Bureau was renamed China Railway Nanchang Bureau Group Co., Ltd.
China Railway Nanchang Bureau Group Co., Ltd. mainly operates part of Jiangxi and Fujian provinces and some railway transportation and related industries in Hunan and Hubei provinces. The headquarters is located in Xihu District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province.
